Dr. Al-Shihabi is a native of Madison, Wisconsin, where he graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin – Madison before earning his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In medical school he was accepted in to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a Junior student, for those in the top 5% of their class, and was also given the Ben and Ella Wagner award in Anatomy upon graduation. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, a Doximity/US News & World Report Top-10 training program, followed by an additional year of hand and upper extremity training at the acclaimed Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery Fellowship in Cincinnati, Ohio. His practice focuses on surgical and non-surgical treatments for conditions of the upper extremity.
